Directed by Alessandro Casale starting from the screenplays by Donatella Diamanti (also author of the story), Laura Grimaldi, Paolo Piccirillo, Gianluca Gloria and Mario Cristiani, the series is a co-production of Rai Fiction and Indiana Production .
This is the official synopsis:
Vittorio Pagani is a Milanese judge known for his integrity, running for the position of President of the Court of Milan. The recent death of his wife painfully marked his life and complicated the already difficult relationship with his son Matteo. When Matteo runs over the young member of a crime family, the Silvas, with his car, Vittorio finds himself ready to do anything to protect his son, even at the cost of a terrible descent into hell. The Silvas are an old acquaintance of the judge: it was he, in fact, when he was PM, who dismantled the organization by arresting the chieftain. This is why he knows well that, if the Silvas found out who caused the accident, they would not hesitate for a single moment to take revenge, killing Matteo.
