Advertising on Zoom will only appear at the end of video calls where users are free.
Video calling platform Zoom is taking its first steps to implement advertising.
Zoom indicated in a blog post that the pilot program is already available in some countries.
The platform indicated that it will only show advertising at the end of video calls.
“For this starter program, ads will only show on users’ browser page at the end of their meeting. Only free users in certain countries will see these announcements in meetings that are hosted by other free users, ” Zoom explains .
Users on the Basic or Free Zoom plan can host meetings of up to 100 participants, each lasting up to 40 minutes. Individual meetings are limited to 30 minutes. However, users can organize unlimited video calls.
How much does Zoom cost?
Zoom’s Pro plan starts at $ 14.99 per month. This allows you to organize video calls of up to 30 hours with a maximum of 1,000 people.
This also allows the transmission of the sessions in social networks, in addition to 1GB to record video calls.
